Essential oil obtained by steam distillation from the fresh flowers of Citrus aurantium L. subsp. Aurantium (C. aurantium L. subsp. amara Engl).
Generic name: Citri auranti floris aetheroleum.
English names: Neroli oil.
Farsi names: Esans bahar narenj.
Neroli oil is clear, pale-yellow or dark-yellow liquid, with a characteristic odour reminiscent of bitter-orange flowers.
