Saffron contains a water-soluble dark orange carotene called Crocin, which produces a beautiful color of Crocin saffron and has anti-cancer effects.To evaluate the quality of saffron, three substances are included in the spectrum:
1-Crocine: Responsible for gold color and therapeutic properties.
2-Picocrocin: A bitter glycoside responsible for saffron taste.
3-Saffranal: Responsible for aroma
Saffron has a warm and dry nature and its effects include:Sight enhancer and prevent the development of cataracts. Sexual force enhancement, heart control, attenuating appetite, conviction of certain types of cancers treatment of menstrual disorders and cardiovascular events.Saffron is also used as an aromatic and flavoring substance.
